Create your own tables, maps and reports to illustrate, analyze and understand the status of women and girls in your community!

GENDER EQUALITY Explorer provides free, 24/7, user-friendly access to data disaggregated by gender from the U.S. Census Bureau collected through the American Community Survey.

GENDER EQUALITY Explorer was created by the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota’s Center on Women and Public Policy to expand the availability of data on women and girls and the capacity of individuals and organizations to use data to advance equality for women and girls across the country.

Engineered and powered by the award-winning Social Explorer, GENDER EQUALITY Explorer enables users to create tables, maps and reports to better illustrate, analyze and understand the current status of women and girls across America, and in their own community.

Using this tool, community organizations, funders, government agencies, policymakers, researchers across sectors and just about anyone can: define and compare populations by demographic, geographic and economic measures; understand needs and inequities; and develop, implement and justify programs and policies.
